We can create a custom die to your exact specifications!
In the photo above, you can see an example of an insert holder that fits into a roll die. Roll dies can be used with a variety of roll marking attachments and tools. In this case, the customer needed a name, part numbers, and an interchangeable date code embossed on the insert. We designed the inserts as well as the pocket in the roll die into which this holder will fit.
Next, we machined and engraved individual character inserts for three (3) digit month and year code from tool steel bar stock. The holder was machined to fit the inserts and to fit securely into the roll die.
